Millie George
A little about her
The baby of the group Millie started out in youth slams when she was thirteen and joined the Roundhouse collective the year she was old enough. Over the last year she has performed with and without Spare the Poets and has written poetry anthology based on interviews with Londoners. She is currently competing in the National Theatre New Views writing competition as well as working on a play for the Edinburgh Fringe August 2016. She tries to make her poetry honest and topical as well as personal to each listener; her goal is to get people to reconsider issues by adding personal experience and emotion to them when she performs. Outside of poetry she is a student, right now working on her A-Levels in her last year of 6th form and avoiding responsibility. Although she is the biggest millennial, she doesn’t have that much online presence at the moment and she is working on improving that come 2016 and is working to get videos and recordings of her poems out to more people.
